Description
Editorials and commentaries are written by people who want us to understand and be swayed by their points of view. When expressing reasons to support their arguments, the writers will often use connotative and biased language to make the argument more effective. Biased language can be used to get our emotions flowing, which makes it easier to make decisions based on that emotion instead of sound reasoning based on facts and research.
