PROMPTS:

The proposed strategies to provide hundreds of thousands of needed housing units in Los Angeles have been stalled by “NIMBYs” across the County. 

There have been several creative housing models floated for discussion in Los Angeles, including tiny homes, pre-fabricated houses, group/hostel/bunk and communal living models, accessory dwelling units, shipping containers, cardborigami, sheds, and safe parking, among others. 

Research and explore 2 of these options to address homelessness and discuss the roadblocks they’ve encountered – these include cultural, political, financial and practical roadblocks. 

Which options are the best in your estimation.  Provide relevant data to indicate why you believe the options you select are best and what needs to happen for the solutions to go into effect?
