Description
One of the first steps in preparing for a job interview is to equip yourself with some brief narratives that demonstrate your experience and will capture the attention of the interviewer(s). Consider a job that you are currently qualified to apply for. For each of the following four topics, write down one brief, lively, very specific story that demonstrates your competence in relation to this specific job: education, prior work experience (volunteer work is okay), career-related goals, an outstanding personal trait. End each story with a statement explaining how that experience makes you an excellent candidate for this job.
Picture yourself in your minds eye at the last meeting you attended. If you were an outsider observing your nonverbal and verbal interaction, what would you notice? Your descriptions should be specific and measurable. What intended and unintended messages were you sending? Would this outsider think you were helping or hindering the group process? Why? My major is health science and the objective is health educator.
