Question 1- A Post on my Review of the Video Case Study on Banking on Nature and a Summary of my Thoughts
The video details how organizations must take care of the environment because it is the infrastructure that allows businesses to exist. The speaker, Mark Tercek, explains how businesses can create associations with environmental groups to enhance environmental sustainability. According to Danso, Adomako, Amankwah?Amoah, Owusu?Agyei & Konadu (2019), firms that implement strategies to enhance environmental sustainability are likely to see an increase in their performance because of goodwill. An example is that since Disney implemented measures to go green, its performance has been increasing. My thoughts on the video are that it effectively explains the need to ensure environmental sustainability. Businesses mustn’t degrade the environment as the resulting pollution is harmful to humans, plants, and animals.
Question 2 A post on a Summary of my Thoughts after Reviewing the Video Case Study on Employee Microchip
The video shows that employees of a company in Wisconsin have accepted to be microchipped to make it easier for them to conduct various services seamlessly. The chip has all their details making it easier for them to access services without papers or other forms of authentication. My thoughts on the video are that being microchipped interferes with a persons privacy. According to Kamleitner & Mitchell (2019), technologies that track a person’s activities interfere with their privacy. An example of the importance of privacy is my results from one of my studies on personal ethics. I found out that a person is likely to reject an offer if it comes with them giving away their privacy.

Good afternoon class,
Question 1:
I found the video case study on Banking on Nature rejuvenating as it captured two important visions. The first vision is about our individual and collective responsibility to the environment and secondly, pursuing your passion. Mr. Mark Tercek through his actions served as a catalyst for change and within larger businesses, especially successful businesses change is not always welcomed. Protecting the environment will require a continuous effort both domestically and internationally and partnering businesses together is a great way to spread social awareness and impact collective change. Pursuing your passing is another important vision because when your genuinely passionate about something, it creates a higher level of fulfillment to you and having that passion to spark change for the betterment of the environment can permeate a respective organization and create buy in at all levels. An example of buy in at the lowest level is recycling (at home or work) and an example of buy in at the highest level would be the G20 summit.
Social responsibility and business ethics have a correlation most notably with stakeholder relationships and social responsibility. In marketing ethics, Ethical problems arise from the conflict between marketing efforts to achieve the company’s goals and consumer wishes for safe and reliable products (Marinova 2019). Some measures implemented to align marketing objectives with customer satisfaction are safety test (for vehicles for example, or customer service satisfaction surveys) but nonetheless, all these desired goals start with a vision for your end state.
Question 2:
I found the video case study on Three Square Market employee microchip interesting because the need for privacy is always warranted and some of these perspective issues undermine trust and responsibility if actively engaged during an employees personal time away from work. If the intent of employee microchips is to enhance workplace efficiency, then alternate methods such as cameras or enhanced supervisor presence could yield the same results however, having a microchip placed into your body in which you have no control over is scary. I do agree that different generations will most likely have differing perspectives on this matter and some people may indeed be receptive to this.
