SUN TRACKING SOLAR POWER
ABSTRACT
The project uses a solar panel paired to a stepper motor to the Sun to ensure that maximum sun light is incident upon the panel at the same time of the day. This is better in comparison to light sensing method which may not be accurate often for example during cloudy days and nights. With the impending scarcity of non-renewable resources, people are looking at to use various sources of strength. From all the other available assets sun energy is the most considerable and it's relatively easy to convert it to electrical energy. Make use of solar panel to convert sun's energy to electrical is so popular, but as a result of transition from the Sun from east to west the fixed solar power may be able to create optimum strength. The proposed system resolves the problem by simply an layout for the solar panel in order to the Sun. This kind of tracking movement is achieved by coupling a stepper motor to the solar power electrical such that the panel preserves its confront always perpendicular to the Sunlight to generate optimum energy. This can be achieved by by using a programmed microcontroller to deliver stepped pulses in periodical period intervals for the machine motor to rotate the mounted panel as ideal. The microcontroller used in this project can be from 8051 family. The stepper electric motor is driven by an interfacing IC as the controller is definitely not capable of managing the power requirements of the machine motor. The project will get a joker solar panel which is often used for demo purpose only. Further the project may be enhanced by utilizing RTC (Real Time Clock) to follow sunlight. This helps in maintaining the required location of the -panel even if the electrical power is cut off for some time. OBSTRUCT DIAGRAM
