Using the strategies discussed in your They Say/I Say textbook, write an argumentative essay of approximately 1000 words (double spaced/12-point font) taking a position on one of the topics covered in the readings from one of the five chapters of the textbooks. This method has the benefit of not only raising your opponent’s counterargument at the outset but also using it to establish context for your claim.
