Task Description:
Your group will be required to produce an analysis of a trend. The trend you identify can sit within technological developments, changing nature of consumption, social or geopolitical dynamics or industry shifts but should not look out more than 10 years (timeframes can be shorter). You will make use of your own research, third party data, public reports and expert interviews and analysis.
Assessment Criteria
Please consider the following criteria:
Define your trend: what is new about this trend and how does it works (you will need to clearly spell out what is it, what are its characteristics, what is its logic for business and/or society; what is the timeframe over which timeframe will the trend develop etc.) /5
Offer a story(ies): give an example of a story(ies) and or signals/cues that reveal, embody, or foreshadow the particular trend. /5
So what?: what does this trend mean for stakeholders: captains of industry, workers, citizens, consumers, policy makers? What questions does it raise? How should they prepare? /5
Watchlist: who are the individuals/ organisations that will over time help us better understand this trend /5
Clarity of expression: including accuracy, spelling, grammar and punctuation /5
